Description
Mindfulness is the practice of purposely bringing one’s attention to the present moment, becoming an observer of one’s thoughts and emotions without judgment. While mindfulness has its roots in meditation, it can be practiced through activities such as art-making.
Values are about what a person considers important to the life they want to live. They are rooted in our core beliefs about what makes for a fulfilling life. Identifying our values help us determine what our priorities are and what actions we need to take to incorporate those values into our lives.
Participants will be led through a guided meditation to connect to their inner wisdom and identify what their current core values are. We will then use watercolors and micron pens to create a visual expression of our values, followed by journal prompts for deeper reflection. This is an opportunity to slow down, connect with yourself, and have fun through creative play. Being a mindful art class, the focus is on the process, not the outcome. No artistic skills necessary!
Cost is $35.00 per person. All supplies are included.

Withdrawal Policy:
Participants who withdraw at least 7 days prior to the start of class will receive a full refund. No refunds or credits will be issued for cancellations less than 7 days from the start of class.
Cancellations:
Classes are canceled when enrollment minimums are not reached. Students will be notified if classes are canceled and will receive a full refund.
Rescheduling and Make-Up Classes:
If Purple Dog Art Studio must reschedule a class, a week will be added at the end of the session. If a student misses a regularly scheduled class, the class cannot be made up and the class will not be prorated.
